Successful Case of Campus Social Mini Program Development

📷

Project Background

With the widespread adoption of mobile internet and the growing demand for campus social networking, traditional communication channels such as QQ groups and WeChat groups are increasingly facing issues like fragmented functionalities and information overload. To enhance the campus social experience, we developed a mini program platform focused on interaction and management, covering multiple use-case scenarios for university users.

Core Functional Modules

📷

  • Event Organization: Supports organizing sports, dining, games, and other offline activities to boost campus interaction efficiency.

  • Topic Communities and Anonymous Confession Wall: Enables public posts, anonymous confessions, and comment interaction.

  • Second-Hand Marketplace: Supports item listings, favorites, and trading communication processes.

  • Class Schedule Query: Automatically syncs with the academic system, allows manual import, and supports course reminders.

  • Campus Identity Verification and Profile Cards: Enables personalized homepages and identity verification.

  • Private Messaging and Notification Center: Supports private chats between users, system broadcasts, and multiple types of message push.

Technical Implementation

  • Multi-Campus Adaptation and Permission System: Achieves cross-campus deployment and permission isolation through configurable design.

  • Data Analytics and Operations Backend: Provides analysis on user behavior, content popularity, and usage frequency.

  • Full-Stack Custom Development: Built using native mini program framework + Node.js backend + admin dashboard, allowing flexible scalability.

  • Service-Oriented System APIs: Supports rapid API integration and connectivity with existing systems in the future.

Results and Feedback

After launch, the project quickly expanded to three pilot universities, achieving over 10,000 monthly active users with an average session duration exceeding 15 minutes.
Student feedback has been positive, with comments like "found an outlet in the confession wall" and "event organization feature helped resolve loneliness."
Campus administrators also expressed approval of the permission and analytics features, which contribute to healthy community operations.

Team and Future Plans

This project was designed and delivered by the Yander team, which focuses on delivering scenario-based products and continuously improves through version optimization and user feedback iteration.

We plan to expand into modules such as campus part-time jobs, exam material sharing, and AI Q&A in the future, aiming to build a more comprehensive digital campus ecosystem.
